Organic form borrowed from nature, which by being worn, leads its own life triggered by movement.
Jewellery designer Christiane Schmit was born in 1951 in Luxembourg. She studied art at the E.C.B.A. in Lausanne and at the U.S.H.S. in Strasbourg where she obtained a Master's degree in Plastic Arts. She has been a member of CAL since 1980. Her work has been shown in solo exhibitions at the Galerie Bradké, Simoncini and the Galerie d'Art Municipale d'Esch-sur-Alzette and in group exhibitions in Luxembourg and abroad: in Germany and France, as well as in Moscow and Lausanne. Since 2012, she has been training at the Jewellery Workshop of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Arlon.
Her creations are inspired by nature with its forms, structures and textures.
