      Biography

Eliane Lothritz was born in Luxembourg in 1962 and lives in Bofferdange. She has 4 children and used to be a medical secretary. For the past 10 years, her passion has been folding books. Whether it's names, logos, sayings, portraits or motifs, she'll fold anything the customer asks for. Even a damaged book is still used - by cutting out strips and extracts of paper - to make various works such as paintings or sculptures.

She has been taking part in the Walfer Bicherdeeg for years, but also exhibits at various art markets, including Bourglinster and Art'Lënster. Her work has also been exhibited in various galleries (Galerie in Walferdange, Galerie A Rousen in Pétange, Galerie Chez Steinhäuser, old church in Roodt Syr etc.) In 2018 and 2023, she took part in the Biennial "De Mains de Maîtres" with her folded books.

In 2022, she created the Christmas decoration for the Topaze shopping centre in Merscherberg (550 paper stars measuring 50, 40 and 30 cm).

As president of the Hobbykënschtler Lëtzebuerg a.s.b.l. association, she also takes part in the markets they organise.
